Subject: Financing your organisation: any alternative methods ?

Not-for-profits usually consider a traditional mix of membership fees, subsidies, sponsorship and ancillary business activities as principal financial resources for running their organisation. A decline in banks’ lending and increasing difficulties in obtaining grants or subsidies from public authorities could lead your organisation to follow the trends of small businesses and seek innovative sources of financing to support your actions and activities. During this lunch debate, speakers will briefly provide a clear overview and the latest updates on traditional methods of financing not-for-profits. The speakers will then focus on some alternative financing methods available to associations and federations which align investor returns with social outcomes such as donation, rewards-based crowdfunding, crowdlending and Social Impact Bonds.

This session will be in English, questions / answers from the audience can be in English, French and Dutch.
